The
Bindas Show.
“Our
past is the road we have made and selected to walk
on, at present.
So
what is passed/passing away is to be given a warm
send off.
Thus
we will be fully fresh and ready to receive the
brand new future: a new day, year.”
This is what I made the little children understand
when the idea of the Bindaas Show showed up,
for saying goodbye to 2002 to welcome 2003.
Also I wanted them to be better students and
get lots of encouragement to study more and
be good students and be more serious about studying
and not be naughty only.
What
I am talking about? Aamar Nijer – My Own has
started a school in an area in Kolkata (Calcutta)
where there are SO many children who have parents
who are so poor and they have so many children
that the parents are just unable to send their
children
to schools. So all these
children do is to jump around, be the extremes
of being naughty, and thus turn up being

an illiterate fool and an anti-social element as
their brain is not developed and anything bad said
to them or a wrong idea, sells well to their consciousness.
This is bad for the spirit of the Earth and I felt
as a human being, its my responsibility to do something
about it and at least give them a chance!

ANTS
the ‘Aamar Nijer Training School’, for quite some
time now has had a school for these children unlucky
in the terms of education. We have billions of difficulties
to encounter EACH day because we have choosen the
difficult path when the simple path was very much
open to us. My experiences and the experiences of
all those people who have done/ contributed a little
to the world is that the way that is difficult and
not just the simple/easy way out, is the way of
the eternal (god). So we have a few children who
are a little better-off in terms of going to a school,
even if these schools are just the name-sake schools,
who come to help me in teaching those unlucky in
terms of the education of children, to teach them
because so many children want to study and go through
the excitement of studying which I try to give them
along with them having a lot of fun. Anyway I call
these helping children a “Star”.
So
we planned “The Bindaas Show”, even if I know nothing
about such things but I was sure of the help of
the eternal. And we were a complete success! I would
tell you what we did. We took the teaching time
that is 1700hrs through 2000hrs for this show and
with the help of the ‘Stars’ who were 8 boys and
girls we arranged the whole show. Our show was simple
to look at but a high fidelity fun for the kids.
The first thing was no parent or big person was
allowed. Only the students of ANTS were allowed.
I made stars with papers and shining ribbon and
pins and put it on them as badges on their chests.
Then we arranged a small field inside the room where
we teach. Every star had a different responsibility
and they were told their performance and dedication
will promote them from a white star to and upgradement
of color.
We
had different competitions for the students and
also the stars and for all we had a first and a
second prize. I with my little capacity brought
some pencils and rubbers to give as gifts. We wrapped
the gifts in bright and shining colors of the local
area and sensibility and tied the first prize with
golden ribbons. We put the prizes on a nice table
so that everyone was able to see it at all times.
There is a lady who is a family member of Aamar
Nijer - My Own who had some nice experience teaching
the children so she gave me some ideas. I thought
before the show that it would have been really nice
to have some people to help me with the show as
it would have been difficult for me all alone to
control everything, but since it was December 31st
everybody else had to go for the much-hyped New
year parties.
Celebrations
and festivals were conceived for being close with
families and for doing good things with the eternal
and to have Joy in the heart. Now these things are
to have Fun and pleasure but basically about how
much money we can spend and make the rich sellers
richer!! Thus making the poor poorer.
Anyway
when we have the eternal with us we can make anything
possible. And that made the show possible. We had
different fun games and competitions like Memory
Tests for junior and senior students. Then we had
the hit game called Musical Chairs for juniors,
seniors and the stars. It was so exciting. Even
when now a days I have the same reaction in happiness
and sadness and nothing puts me down, still sometimes
the excitations were so much that I was jumping
too. Then we had ‘Spoon in mouth’ runs for junior
students and also a simple race for junior students
too.

had told the students that we will have “The
Bindaas Shows” every month end but only those
who will study seriously and will not be naughty
during the classes will take part in them. There
was a big crowd outside the school to enter
but then these children were those who used
to boast to all our students before when they
used to go to school about their school and
my children used to feel sad. Now the same sad
children were having the best show anyone had
seen there. It was a proud time for these children
who used to be sad always because their parents
couldn’t be rich and thus send them to schools.
The parents of these children were so full with
not just smiles but big time laughs!!! I could
see their proud eyes. So many happy souls were
created, with just a small step taken by Aamar

Another beautiful thing was that one of Aamar Nijer’s
Eternal family members, known as Frederic had his
birthday on this day. And when I called him in his
office in Paris, he was sounding so sad because
so many bad things were happening to him. I feel
that something very good is going to happen to him
and that he has gone into the special love circle
of the eternal and that the eternal just wants to
test him to make him eligible for the best things
in the world a man can get. Frederic needed lots
of happiness for his birthday but he had to go to
his job while all his friends were holidaying and
none had time and I felt so disheartened that I
couldn’t be with him or bring him here for the day.
Paris is so far and it’s so costly to bring him
here. But I promised him something; that we would
celebrate his birthday. After the prizes were distributed
to the winners, I asked all the students and stars
to stand up and we sang happy birthday for our friend
SO loud that he could hear it in Paris. Even if
not by the ears then in the Soul.
Aamar
Nijer-My Own believes in doing something special
for the Soul even if we couldn’t do much for the
external situation. We will try the BEST even if
we will fail in the end. At least we would be the
most successful failures. The only thing we have
is our desire to do something to bring a smile to
the face of the spirit of the Earth. We need only
your smile and encouragement because we are little
children here, who are trying to do something in
the big people’s world. If you feel that there is
a child in you who wants to be with us in spirit
or body, we will be jumping with joy to have you!!
